Have You Heard that the Tarot is of the Devil??
Im pretty sure somewhere along your adult life if you haven't had the thought yourself, you've heard someone else say it before. That is perfectly ok because we all tend to pass judgement and create assumptions about things we are absolutely uneducated about. Media doesn't help with their scare tactics either, with all of the bad images and stories you've absorbed growing up its safe to say that we never really get a fair shot to openly explore tarot without feeling guilty. It's condemned in the bible and warned about in the 'real world's. I remember when I first started, I had the urge to delve into the unknown. It was strange because I didnt know why i was compelled to practice tarot amongst other forms of divination but the curiosity was so dominant that I followed that despite. I remember feeling guilty, scared, horrified, unsure and most importantly, alone. I still kept pushing through and found out the key that will control how successful you may or may not be doing tarot, it all starts and ends with your thoughts (stay positive)! Now just to rewind a bit to the part I said how we were all exposed to movies, stories and bad talk of Tarot since growing up...your thoughts are wired to think the opposite. Now is it all starting to make sense? Great! This blog is to break it down a bit Tarot Trisha style for you so you can understand more about tarot.
What is a Tarot Reader and What Can They Do?
Now it is best to understand the full spectrum of reading tarot starting with the reader him/herself. With any service you want to select a person that you feel comfortable with and not pressures, that represents what you stand for (there are all kinds of Tarot readers from witches to psychics to Christian readers so make sure you do your homework before rushing out and allowing anyone to read for you). I think this is where the big misconception comes from that every tarot reader can read your mind or put a spell on you. Notice I said can and not will because every person has their own intentions and limits to what they will or won't do. That's why it's very important to get a feel for your reader, years of experience does not always determine a great experience or an honest reading.
Well, you've heard my story of how I got started and once I developed a skill set my intentions came along with it. I genuinely wanted to help people. My nature of work previous to this was helping people as a nursing assistant which I truly love to do so my spirit just transitioned onto another position that still serves the same purpose. I treat each client like a patient who is under HIPPA laws, every session is confidential and that's another thing I think people worry about when they can judge you. I think my biggest critics are people who know me. Believe it or not doing tarot is just like being a mother and a boss. You use the necessary characteristics to do the job but either one is done with perfection because it's all about your quality. So just to backtrack, 1. Research the different kinds of tarot readers 2. Choose a tarot reader that gives you a good vibe. 3. Remember that your spiritual health is a component to your health as a whole (very different from religion because religion doesn't aid in healing your vibrational light body). Stop freaking yourself out and remember that there is a code of ethics even in spiritual practices no one will judge you or look down on you and if you feel showing weakness to your reader isn't nesseccary for your recovery try holding back from your doctor and see how much he can Thr help you (I've had people tell me these reasons) just let your intuition be your guide.
What if the Tarot Predicts My Death?
Don't worry, unless there is something that needs your urgent attention the Tarot will not just predict your death for you. Normally the Death card pops up when something needs to, will or has ended. They can both be good or bad indicators of a new start because it signals the end of a cycle. Unless there was something urgent that needed to be brought to your attention regarding your health or the health of someone in your immediate family or if you did the warned against and asked, your expiration date won't come up.
Another Card That Freaks People Out
The Devil Card, which has a meaning more of bondage and addiction than the Devil himself appearing in your life as a haunt. This card is only an icon, a representation a mere symbol of what the Devil represents. The lust, temptation, and things that we do in excess that we don't need or isn't good for us.
In that case, the Tarot is only fare warning. Wouldn't you want to know early if something is detrimental to your life so that you can fix it before it gets worst? It's not like God or your ancestors/guides can fly down and tap you on the shoulder so they have ways of communicating with us to get their point across, sometimes with dreams, songs or through people, the way it makes you feel and your thoughts help break down the meanings. Someone posted r.i.p. to one of their friends on Facebook. I don't remember what it was about that lost that made me go to the guy who dieds page where I started looking through his last posts. There was a video that he posted a few days before he passed that was only :23 secs but it had my hair raised on end be the finish of the video. He started by saying he had this weird dream about his mom and his sister who were both deceased and they were pointing at him like "that one, that one". He said he couldn't understand it but it wasn't meant for him to understand, it was meant for him to post that video so people could apply the message to life. It confirmed all of my belief about messages through dreams. What an amazing moment of clarity for me at that point. So when you use divinity it acts as a direct medium for communication that you are already receiving but not paying attention to!! Simple as that!
